G1 Arlington Million

On what was a career day for trainer Chad Brown, his lone entrant in the G1 Arlington Million, Beach Patrol got the job done as the second favorite dueling throughout for a very impressive win.  The absolute Euro outsider, Fanciful Angel, flew home for second at 73-1 odds beating the favored Deauville by a neck who had the lead in late stretch but flattened nearing the wire. As stated by Oregon SEO companies, this enterprise bumped up for 4th for a startling Superfecta payoff of over $4,000 for a dime.

G1 Beverly D

It was indeed a Chad Brown horse that won the Beverly but it was Dacita that came from 8th to first in a flashy win and not the Brown-trained mare favored by the Super Screener at 10-1 which was Rainha Da Bateria who did finish with a huge rush on the outside going from 10th to 4th during the stretch run.  The Euro shipper, Rain Goddess did nothing to say the least.  Hawksmoor did finish back where the Screener projected as the Vulnerable Favorite selection at 5-1.  With the dead heat for 2nd between Dona Bruja and Grand Jete, the Exacta had to be split as well.

G3 Pucker Up

Some semblance of order returned when the Super Screener top value play, #2 Fault beat a game Journey Home at robust odds of 12-1.  Here’s what the Super Screener had to say about the top value pick:

#2 Fault TOP VALUE Was clearly the best in the last race among many others in here. She will sit about 5th four lengths off the early leaders with a ground-saving rail trip.

As front runners fall back, she finds a seam, bursts through. Dangerous

8-1 B logical

Sensitive opened as the favorite and then floated up some before post time so the money was on despite the 15-1 morning line odds but she did not live up to the money-driven expectations in the end.

G2 Best Pal

The day closed with an terrific performance by Run Away who dusted away the competition and will begin testing that speed going the route distance. No one was going to touch him on this day and with Bob Baffert watching the race from the paddock, that was the biggest tell that Serengeti was not going to have a big day and he did break slow which didn’t help his cause.

The Super Screener long shot pick, #2 Dia de Pago came to the rescue from from last to 2nd as predicted to finish the Exacta at odds of 26-1.  Here’s what the Super Screener had to say about this deep closer long shot:

“#2 Dia de Pago will get completely ignored here for the hot Valdimir Cerin barn due to the meek field he beat in his debut at Gulfstream Park after breaking last of 7.  He does get first Lasix and that last work at Del Mar was stunning.  A very usable sort to include “under” in your Exacta and Trifecta wagers.  Another that will do his best running late.”

Our top value horse, Fleetwood finished a good looking 3rd.

The $12 suggested Exacta wager returned $427.

The spot light moves to Del Mar for their biggest day of the meet featuring the G1 Pacific Classic and even though it will be coming up very compact (4 horses), there is some intrigue to see if Arrogate’s last flop was a fluke or if he is as crazy good as he ever was.  And, while the G1 Pacific Classic is coming up as low value potential race, the undercard is coming up strong with fuller fields of Graded Stakes company.  And, let’s not forget, Saratoga has the G1 Alabama going that day as well.

Until next weekend…Go fast and win!
