The 2013 Kentucky Derby Super Screener is now available!

There are countless ways to dissect the probable Kentucky Derby field. Dosage Index, Dual Qualifier status, pedigree, Speed Ratings, prep race quality, Graded Stakes wins, workouts days and a trainer’s Derby record – these have all fallen in and out of favor over the years.

Several years ago, we went on a search for a more reliable, yet flexible screening criteria through which we could identify (and eliminate), with greater confidence, Kentucky Derby win and in-the-money contenders. This would be a system that would allow for “getting smarter” based on new data.
